dc.description.abstract This thesis is the opening of a science fiction novel set in the near future. The novel proposes a world where a technological advancement called the Remote Nervous System (RNS), an invention that allows an individual to override another's motor functions, has been developed and is making its way into widespread public use. The novel follows the lives of Isa and Per, two users of the RNS who are brought together by circumstance. Over the course of the novel they work as a team both in a fighting ring and to solve the circumstances that brought them together in the first place.
