dc.description.abstract Age-dependent branching processes arise in multiple areas of scientific applications such as cell biology, epidemic spread, and medical science. Researchers have shown that the size of the process grows exponentially fast with some rate depending on the offspring distribution and the life-time distribution of the particles, but the inference for such a rate has not been well-studied in the literature.
