dc.description.abstract | “Prodigy House” is a book-length poem engaging with the legacy and practice of the “country house poem,” which examines the constructed nature of our awareness of and experience in space. Created as a pastiche or “remix” of language taken from novels and films featuring prominent physical structures, “Prodigy House” explores notions of use and perception of the rhetoric involved with the constructs of the “estate” and inheritance— whether physical or ideological. | |
