fairly knowledable in computers. The prerequisit to daytrading is a fast reliable computer. large memory, at least three screens, preverable large ones, reliable data source, backup telephone connection. Discount broker with multible accounts. IRA account to daytrade, Brokerage account to shorten stocks. Never use margins!! always use stops!! Daytrading is a full time job, requiring at least one to two hours work premarket. then steady 9:30 AM till 4:00Pm attention, without coffebreaks. Evning preparation at least two hours between 9-11PM.
What was your employment status before, and during the time you day traded?
Had military and eng. background. I.m retired.
Did you day trade at work, at home, or in a trading office? How many hours a day did you trade?
I trade full time at home.
Where did you access information for your day trading? Online or offline? From chat groups, message boards, websites, or other sources?
Lot of good online information is available. never waste time at chat rooms or message boards. Time is precious and you have only limited hours a day, use your time wisely.
What has been the result of your day trading? Were you financially successful? How has trading affected your professional and personal life? What are your thoughts about your experience?
I have good results. Due to tight stops if the market turns against the BUY/SHORT and following trailing stops if the market is with you. Never, never gibe back a winning cent!Dont forget before you can make a profit the broker commission and market fees have to be paid! That is the reason a reliable discount broker is essentual. I'm fortunate to have found one.
