Abstract

This thesis works in the language of the feminine body, the fertile landscape, and the recurring dream. In this dream world, the feminine body is at the center. We expand and create. We move with the ever-present poetic moon. We, the feminine, engage with landscape and lineage on an urgent bodily level. In what ways have the body and the landscape evolved or mutated together? Where does the environment end and the body start? Are these boundaries even necessary? The Moorlands strives to give temporary form to liminality, to invoke kinship across all species, to consider consequences, and to evoke wonder at the total strangeness of being alive.
