Abstract
Report from the State of Israel Ministry of Housing entitled Arad Development Project. This report concerns the development of the area of Arad in the southern part of Israel 25km from the Dead Sea. Arad, started by a group of young Israelis as a planned community in 1962, officially became a town in 1995. This report discusses the first stages of development, the settlement of people, and the total investment needed. The report also includes two maps. The first map details the surrounding the planned town of Arad, and the second is of the planned layout for the town of Arad. Planned Community Archives Collection, 449.01.
