Abstract
Reprint of an article from Industrial Design from March 1964 by Edward Carpenter entitled "Brave New Town." This article discusses the planning and development of Reston, Virginia. Attention is specifically paid to the philosophy, aesthetic, and the sales office of Reston. Also mentioned in this article is the place that Reston holds in the Year 2000 plan of the National Capital Planning Commission and the National Capital Regional Planning Council.
