Abstract
In this Oral History Interview, Warfield discusses his education, work on early computer prototypes, and time at Battelle Memorial Institute. He continues on to explain how his work with Battelle led him to develop Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) and the establishment of the Center for Interactive Management (CIM). He then talks about the actual process of Interactive Managemen M, as well as some of the applications, of Interactive Management (IM) and the Work Program of Complexity. He concludes the interview by identifying some intellectual predecessors that influenced his work, offering his take on the current state of higher education, and offering what he believes to be is most important contribution to scholarship.
