Abstract

This photograph shows several Mexican-American women dressed in traditional clothing with their children. Though the location is unknown, it is believed to be in the American southwest (in either Texas, Arizona, or New Mexico) ca. 1893. To the left are two men (one with back to camera) wearing pith helmets. Town storefonts are seen in the background.
