Abstract
Letter to Rhoda Barnes from her husband Milton Barnes. Milton discusses traveling from outside Woodstock, Virginia, to outside New Market, Virginia, during which a skirmish with Colonel Ashby's cavalary occured. He also mentions with optimism General Jackson in full retreat and enquires about Rhoda and the family in Ohio.
