Abstract
Office Workbook for the Reston Low Income Housing Demonstration Program, Land Development Costs, Norman Rowland, circa 1969. The purpose of this report is to summarize obvious problems which will bring to light other problems and begin to establish corrective goals. A comparative analysis must be made of all the codes, engineering approvals and inspection procedures to determine their effect on cost and should also include: comparison between Reston and other Fairfax County developments; Fairfax County and contiguous counties; use of materials such as plastics and transite pipe; road engineering requirements; flood plan criterion and production costs.
