dc.description.abstractLetter to Rhoda Barnes from her husband Milton Barnes stationed in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Milton expresses displeasure with recent actions by President Lincoln and General Robert H. Milroy in Virginia and concern about his brothers Clark and Frank, both of whom are in Virginia. The second half of the letter is spent discussing photographs of Generals Thomas L. Crittenden, Wood, and James A. Garfield. General Crittenden is discussed at length.
