This issue of GEWEX Quarterly contains the articles on the following: it’s time for GEWEX to tackle irrigation; Xubin Zeng is the new Scientific Steering Group Co-Chair; Sandrine Bony joins the GEWEX Atmospheric System Studies Panel as Co-Chair; Young Earth System Scientists webinars and new Science Interview series; new members and a database promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion for the Hydrology Section Student Subcommittee; SoilWat initiative makes progress in improving representation of soil in climate models; the 2nd Determining Evapotranspiration Workshop evaluates the state-of-the-art and future challenges in ET; and the Global Land/Atmosphere System Study (GLASS) reviews its process-oriented, benchmarking, and model intercomparison activities at its annual meeting.
