Abstract
This thesis, titled Enclave Amplified, is a creative fiction novel following a 20-year old named Evie Garcia. My thesis is interesting as Evie is both our protagonist and also the major villain. Featuring flashbacks and also a multitude of faux political writings, the reader sees a power struggle play out between two opposing groups: the US government, which supports nationalizing superheroes and then the Ether Initiative, which aims to take down the superpowered structure in totality. Evie works for the Initiative while her twin sister, Tori, works for the President of the United States. As the Powered struggles increase, Evie is tasked with infiltrating her sister’s group by pretending to be her. But while dealing with her family’s past and her own wants, she starts to realize that maybe there isn’t truly a “good side” when everyone wants power for themselves. This thesis is going to be further edited and then queried out to literary agents in Winter 2020.
