dc.description.abstract | This thesis is a loosely connected, fragmented narrative made up of poems featuring women in various domestic spaces—kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, floors—spaces where they are usually seen cooking, straightening, or scrubbing. This collection attempts to portray women, often in medias res, thinking, questioning, demanding—of others and of themselves, in the midst of their various unhappily ever afters. | |
