Abstract
Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) provide key infrastructural support for many environmental monitoring and Internet-of-Things (IoT) applications. Given the resource constraints, highly efficient energy management policies are essential for the successful deployment of WSN systems. My research explores techniques for processor and transmission settings and task scheduling policies that save energy while maintaining required performance levels. My specific contributions are in three distinct areas.
