Abstract
Letter to Rhoda Barnes from her husband Milton Barnes. Barnes writes that his men have dug in an created fortifications two miles away from Nashville and are awaiting attack by conferderate general John B. Hood. He also mentions a recent fight in which he was nearly captured while advancing on Nashville (Tenn).
