Abstract

In this paper, Warfield explores varies enlightenment strategies employed throughout history. He identifies six principal strategies and lists them with their major proponent. The six are: Comte’s positivism, Le Moigne’s constructivism, Rabinow’s “return to founders”, Rabinow’s “absorb and surpass”, von Glasersfeld’s “radical constructivism” and Foucalt’s “coherent inquiry”.
