Abstract

Paper from Gulf Reston, Inc. co-written by Gladstone Associates from January 1978 entitled "The Case for Relocating the Fairfax County Government Headquarters to Reston." This paper is an assessment of locating Fairfax County's governmental offices in Reston. The paper is organized into four sections, with each section discussing one reason for moving the county seat to Reston. Five appendices are included as well. The appendix contains a historical perspective of the Fairfax County seat, a study of travel time to Reston, available land in Reston, support offered by the Reston Community Association and Reston Times, and an offer from James W.
