dc.description.abstractThis thesis takes the form of a novel that follows an Iranian-American family living in Laurel, MD. After their son, Darren, is arrested on charges of making terroristic threats, the family begins to disintegrate, and the question that emerges is whether or not they can find their way back to each other in a time of true crisis.
