The skyrocketing cost of textbooks poses practical and theoretical questions for an era of unprecedented information freedom. How do textbook costs disadvantage low-income students? Are expensive textbooks worth the price, or are free or low-cost online resources a more practical option? In an age of tablet computing, should we be using physical textbooks at all? The undergraduate student roundtable tackles these questions and more about open access and open educational resources.
