dc.description.abstract | Southburbs is the story of Alex Andrews, a timid high school senior living in the millennial American South. As he slowly accelerates toward his uncertain future in the wake of his sister’s unfortunate death and myriad other smalltown scandal, stories told from his perspective and those of his family, erstwhile best friend, school counselor, and others paint a larger picture of stagnation, dysfunction, and confused hope for what might be in store after he goes out on his own. | |
