dc.description.abstract | The George Mason University Libraries open access publishing fund offers a new opportunity to connect with our community. This fund supports faculty and graduate student publication in journals that provide free and immediate access to research results but require payment of an article processing charge. The presentation describes how the fund was established, criteria used to administer the fund and vet applications, and marketing venues. Details regarding payment to international publishers and lessons learned are covered. | |
