Abstract
Published presentation by Pierre Drouin entitled Art and Science of Urban Renovation. This lecture was given at the Housing and Architectural session of the First World Congress of Engineers and Architects in Israel in 1967. In this presentation Drouin discusses the importance of building or restoring cities so that they are "endowed with originality of lay-out" and construction so that they should breathe a particular atmosphere." He also discusses the importance of preserving the past, i.e. buildings and historic sites, as a way to make a city or development pleasing to visitors and inhabitants.
