Auger process is the most significant component that contributes to the dark current. In this thesis a non-equilibrium Auger suppression InSb infrared detector is designed and studied to achieve the ambient temperature operation. We investigated the mechanisms that contributes to dark current and simulate the device under various conditions. The dark current is largely decreased and performance at room temperature is optimized.enIII-V photodetectorsAuger suppressionHOT detectorsNonequilibrium operationAuger Suppression in MWIR InSb Photodiode for Ambient Temperature OperationThesis
