Throughout its existence, the Center has encountered challenging situations that have created discussions of ethics and how ethics relate to collection management. The project herein is a discussion of the Center's principles regarding ethics in collections management, and it focuses specifically on the areas of security of private information, intellectual property, and ethical versus financial responsibility. This project brings together the principles of the American Folklife Center which were learned through interviews with staff members, and the practice of records management, which was learned through an internship in the Archive of Folk Culture in 2006.en-USFolkloreEthicsArchivesIntellectual propertyAmerican Folklife CenterThe Archive of Folk Culture in the American Folklife Center: Ethical Concerns and Ideologies Facing Folklore ArchivesProject
