The aim of the Center for Biomedical Science and Policy (CBSP) is to bring together like-minded research faculty with different backgrounds including biology, medicine, biostatistics/informatics, mathematical modeling and big-data analytics to perform cutting-edge research with direct policy relevance. In particular, researchers aim to work collaboratively on the intersection of biomedicine and artificial intelligence (AI) to generate policy recommendations. The CBSP Young Scholars Research Program provides mentoring and research opportunities for elite high school and undergraduate students interested in pursuing study and/or career in the fields of biology or medical science with emphasis on advanced data analytics.
