| dc.description.abstract | "Inspired apparently by the identical motives, practically all of the 100,000 odd automobile owners decided to try out the new Arlington Memorial Bridge and Mt. Vernon Boulevard, which were opened offically yesterday by President Hoover, early this afternoon. That there was not a colossial traffic jam is due only to the excellent design and construction of the new highways, for they were filled with three lanes deep most of the time.
