Abstract
Paper from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, New Communities Division entitled "Survey and Analysis of Large Developments and New Communities Completed and Under Construction in the United States Since 1947" that is dated February 1969. This paper discusses new communities, attempts to define what they are, and give the general descriptions of the communities surveyed. This paper also provides a list of eighteen new communities that were started or completed between 1947 and 1969. Reston, Virginia is mentioned in this list of new communities.
