dc.description.abstract | Paper by Sylvia F. Fava, sociology professor at Brooklyn College, entitled "Diversity in Reston at 20: Is the Glass Half-Empty or Half-Full" circa May 1985. This paper was presented at the Symposium celebrating the twentieth anniversary of Reston, Virginia that was held May 8 through 11. Fava discusses the diversity of Reston since the 1960's. Fava found that Reston was fairly diverse as compared to traditional suburban development, but was not diverse compared to the nation as a whole. Planned Community Archives Collection, 638.03.06 | |
