Introduction to Reston, Virginia, Anonymous, Undated. This plan and statement describe the community of Reston, acquired in 1961 by Robert E. Simon, Jr. A comprehensive Master Plan is being developed by Harland Bartholomew and Associates, detailed neighborhood planning by Whittlesey and Conklin, and economic studies furnished by Arthur D. Little and Company. This is an introduction about Reston that would accompany a proposal to acquaint the concept of Reston to a number of people; it provides background history on the land and site; planning concepts for residential, commercial, and industrial areas; and population estimates. Ira F. Willard and Glenn Saunders could possibly be the authors of this report since their names are on the second page with mini biographies. Planned Community Archives Collection, 445.08.
