Slide by an anonymous photographer entitled “Park Ranger, Uncle Sam, and Kings Dominion/Firestone hot air balloon” dated 1976. In the center of the image, there is a red hot air balloon with Firestone and Kings Dominion written in white on it. Two men, one in a park ranger’s uniform and one dressed as Uncle Sam, can be seen in the foreground of the image. Other people are visible in this image as well. Most of the others present are looking at the hot air balloon. Both Kings Dominion and Firestone sponsored the balloon for the bicentennial air show. Planned Community Archives Collection, 568.11
