dc.description.abstract | Brochure produced by Park Forest South Developers, Inc. entitled "Park Forest South: New Town of the Seventies," that was from circa 1970. This brochure discusses a sister development to the Park Forest development, which was started in 1948 by Nathan Manilow. Manilow was also involved in the development of Park Forest South. The Park Forest South development was begun in the 1970's and received aid from the federal government. This development was thirty five miles outside of Chicago, IL and is currently known as University Park. Governors State University is located in University Park.
