dc.description.abstract | Reston Proposal Submitted to Ford Foundation, Part II, Anonymous, ca. 1965. This proposal supports the idea of a central urban center near larger metropolitcan regions will boost America's the decline in urban life by providing a better place to live citizens will have a better chance of attaining goals. This proposal urges the construction of an environment where men and women of all incomes, races, religions, and ethnic backgrounds can gather together to live the good life and to do this requires large-scale exeperiments in the proper use of land and in the design of buildings for human social progress. This proposal is divided into several sections including cultural enrichment programs for residents; nature center; higher education; and proposals for sculptures and murals.
